Media Production Services
Bringing Recovery Ideas to Life
At Empowered Recovery Solutions, we understand that communication in the recovery sector goes far beyond leaflets, websites and presentations.
Sometimes something physical can make a message considerably more powerful. Sometimes a carefully produced image or video can explain an idea that would take pages of written material to communicate.
A token recognising an important milestone. A plaque carrying a QR code that takes somebody directly to support. A display designed for a recovery service. A practical resource used during training. A short video explaining a difficult recovery concept. Or a series of images designed specifically for a training programme.
Our Media Production Services have been developed to help recovery organisations, treatment providers, charities, community groups and other services turn their ideas into professionally produced physical and digital resources.
Using modern 3D printing, digital design, engraving, image production and video production technology, we can create everything from individual prototypes and bespoke physical products through to images, graphics and video content for training and education.
And because Empowered Recovery Solutions comes from within the recovery sector, you don't need to spend half the conversation explaining the audience you're trying to reach.
We understand recovery.
Designed Specifically for the Recovery Sector
There are thousands of companies that can print a logo onto an object or produce a generic promotional video.
That's not quite what we're offering.
Our starting point is normally a much simpler question:
What are you trying to achieve?
You might already know exactly what you want. Alternatively, you may simply have an idea that you'd like us to help develop.
You might want something to give people when they complete treatment. You might need something for a reception area that takes people directly to your website or support services. Perhaps you're attending a recovery event and want something different from the usual pens, leaflets and promotional merchandise.
You might be developing a training programme and need images or videos to help explain difficult concepts.
Or you may have an idea for a recovery resource but have absolutely no idea how to turn it into something tangible.
That's where we can help.
We can take an idea through concept, design, development and production, working with you throughout the process.
Video and Image Production for Training and Education
Recovery, addiction and mental health can involve complicated ideas that aren't always easy to explain using words alone.
Good visual material can make an enormous difference.
Empowered Recovery Solutions can produce bespoke video and image content for training, education, presentations, workshops, online learning and awareness campaigns.
Rather than relying entirely on generic stock photography or video that doesn't quite represent the situation you're trying to explain, we can develop visual material specifically around your subject and learning objectives.
This might include:
- Short training videos
- Visual explanations of recovery concepts
- Scenario-based content
- Animated sequences
- Introductory and explainer videos
- Supporting imagery for presentations
- Illustrations and visual metaphors
- Images for training manuals
- Online learning resources
- Awareness campaign content
- Social media video and imagery
For example, explaining the confusion and uncertainty somebody may experience at the beginning of recovery could be represented visually rather than simply described.
A training programme discussing gambling harm could use purpose-designed imagery showing the relationship between gambling, money, family, secrecy, mental health and recovery.
A short video could introduce a training module, demonstrate a scenario or provide a visual representation of a concept before it is discussed within the session.
The aim isn't to use technology simply because it is available.
The question remains:
Does this help somebody understand the subject better?
If the answer is yes, visual media can become an extremely powerful training tool.
Bespoke Training Packages
We can also work with organisations developing complete training programmes rather than producing individual images or videos in isolation.
That could involve creating a consistent visual style across an entire programme, including presentation imagery, short videos, illustrations, diagrams, title sequences and supporting digital resources.
Producing everything as part of the same project means the material can have a consistent identity rather than appearing to have been assembled from multiple unrelated sources.
Where appropriate, content can incorporate your organisation's branding, colours, terminology and existing training materials.
Most importantly, the content can be designed around the people who will actually be receiving the training.
A presentation for professionals may need a very different approach from material designed directly for people experiencing gambling-related harm.
Likewise, material aimed at families, young people, peer-support workers or experienced treatment practitioners will require different language, imagery and context.
We believe the audience should determine the material – not the technology used to produce it.
Recovery Coins and Tokens
Recovery has a long tradition of using physical tokens to recognise progress, achievement and important milestones.
We can design and produce bespoke recovery coins and tokens specifically for your organisation, programme, event or project.
These could recognise:
- Days, months or years in recovery
- Completion of a treatment programme
- Attendance or achievement
- Personal recovery milestones
- Organisational anniversaries
- Conferences and recovery events
- Peer-support programmes
- Volunteering and service-user involvement
A token could carry your organisation's branding on one side and a recovery message on the other.
It doesn't necessarily have to be a traditional round coin either. Because products are digitally designed, we can explore different shapes, sizes, colours and styles, including designs based around an organisation's own logo or identity.
Most importantly, we want these items to mean something to the person receiving them.
They shouldn't simply be another piece of promotional merchandise. They should represent something.
QR-Code Plaques and Displays
A QR code can turn a relatively simple physical object into a gateway to support.
We can incorporate working QR codes into plaques, signs, stands, coins and other products, linking people directly to online resources.
That could include your website, online support, referral forms, meeting information, self-help resources, videos, contact information, event pages or feedback forms.
For recovery services, there are some particularly interesting possibilities.
Worried about your gambling?
Confidential support is available.

The QR code could take somebody directly to a page explaining where and how they can get help.
A discreet QR plaque within a treatment service could provide immediate access to additional support.
At a conference or recovery event, a tabletop display could allow visitors to scan a code and access information immediately rather than collecting another leaflet that may never be looked at again.
QR technology means a relatively simple physical object can provide immediate access to a much larger digital resource.
Bespoke Plaques and Signage
We can design and manufacture personalised plaques and display pieces incorporating combinations of logos, text, branding, QR codes, raised lettering, multiple colours, contact information and recovery messages.
Depending upon the application, these can potentially be freestanding, wall-mounted or designed to sit on reception desks, information tables and exhibition stands.
Possible applications include reception signage, room identification, information displays, awards, recognition plaques, event signage, branded displays and QR-code information points.
Unlike many traditional manufacturing processes, 3D printing also makes it practical to produce very small quantities.
If you need one, we can make one.
If the design works and you subsequently need 50, 100 or 200, we can look at the most efficient way of producing them.
Bespoke 3D Printing
3D printing gives us the ability to manufacture objects that would previously have required expensive tooling or specialist manufacturing.
That opens the door to producing completely bespoke resources for recovery services.
These could include training aids, demonstration models, recovery resources, desk displays, token holders, presentation items, branded objects, equipment holders, accessibility aids, prototype products and educational resources.
The possibilities are considerably broader than simply producing branded merchandise.
If you've identified a practical problem within your service and think a physical object could help solve it, talk to us.
If you have an idea but aren't sure how it could be manufactured, talk to us.
Some of the most interesting projects start with a very simple sentence:
"I've been thinking about something..."
Prototyping and Product Development
You don't need to arrive with a finished CAD drawing or manufacturing specification.
You can send us a sketch, photograph, logo, drawing or simply explain your idea.
We can then explore whether it's practical to manufacture and how we might approach it.
For new products, we can produce prototypes before committing to a larger production run. This allows us to look at things such as size, readability, colour, strength, usability and overall appearance.
We can then make changes and produce another version where necessary.
Design it. Produce it. Test it. Improve it.
Only when everyone is happy with the product do we need to consider producing it in quantity.
Your Organisation. Your Branding.
We aren't interested in putting the Empowered Recovery Solutions logo over everything we manufacture.
This is about your organisation and your identity.
Where appropriate, physical and digital products can incorporate your colours, logo, wording and other branding.
If you're producing something for a particular programme, campaign or event, the product can also have its own identity rather than simply reproducing your corporate branding.
If you already have a design, send it to us. If you don't, tell us what you're trying to achieve and we can help develop the idea.
Small Quantities Are Welcome
One of the problems with traditional manufacturing is minimum order quantities.
You might find exactly the product you want, provided you're prepared to order 1,000 of them.
That doesn't always work in the recovery sector.
3D printing and digital manufacturing allow us to approach production differently.
We can potentially produce a single prototype, ten items for a group, fifty for an event or hundreds for a wider campaign.
For larger quantities, we'll discuss the most sensible manufacturing approach rather than automatically assuming that 3D printing is the best solution.
More Than Promotional Merchandise
We're not trying to become another promotional merchandise company selling branded pens, mugs and keyrings.
There are plenty of companies already doing that.
We're interested in creating resources that have a purpose.
- Something that helps somebody find support.
- Something that starts a conversation.
- Something that recognises an achievement.
- Something that helps a practitioner explain a difficult concept.
- Something that makes somebody proud of how far they've come.
- Something that helps somebody understand recovery.
- Something that makes training more engaging.
- Something that helps an organisation communicate its message.
- Something that solves a practical problem within a recovery service.
The technology is simply the means of making it.
The purpose comes first.
Who Can We Work With?
Our Media Production Services are available to organisations and individuals across the recovery and wider health and social-care sectors.
This could include treatment providers, charities, CICs, NHS services, local authorities, peer-support organisations, residential treatment services, recovery communities, researchers, universities, trainers and independent practitioners.
We're also happy to discuss collaborative projects with people who have lived experience and have developed their own idea for a recovery resource, training tool or educational resource.
Have an Idea?
You don't need a finished design.
You don't need to understand 3D printing, video production or digital design.
And you certainly don't need to understand all of the technology involved.
That's our job.
Tell us what you're trying to create, who it's for and, most importantly, what you want it to achieve.
We'll take it from there.
Whether you're looking for a single prototype, a set of bespoke recovery coins, QR-code displays, a series of training images, short educational videos or hundreds of finished products, contact Empowered Recovery Solutions and tell us what you have in mind.
Sometimes the starting point really is as simple as:
"Could you make this?"
And quite often, the answer is yes.
